The hidden line item
What miscommunication is already costing you
You can't see it on the P&L, but you can see it everywhere else:
Meetings that resolve nothing
The same issues resurface week after week because the real conversation, the one with friction in it, never actually happens.
Work done twice, or not at all
Unclear ownership and unspoken assumptions mean projects stall, get duplicated, or quietly die between departments.
Your best people going quiet
Top performers don't usually storm out. They disengage first: fewer ideas, less pushback, then a resignation letter that "came out of nowhere."
Every one of these is a communication breakdown wearing a different costume, and all of them are fixable.
The Alignment Method™
A six-step process, not a pep talk
Team offsites create a good week. The Alignment Method™ is a structured engagement that changes how your team communicates day to day, starting with an honest assessment of how each person actually works, learns, and gets triggered.
Assess
Individual sessions with each team member to map communication styles, strengths, and working preferences.
Analyze
Identify exactly where communication breaks down: the triggers, patterns, and stuck points costing the team.
Teach
Introduce conscious-communication frameworks tailored to your team's specific breakdowns, not generic training.
Implement
Put the new tools into daily practice through a mix of individual coaching and group sessions.
Transform
Shift the culture: open feedback, direct conversations, wins celebrated, conflict handled instead of avoided.
Sustain
Ongoing check-ins and refinement so the new operating system holds under pressure, not just during the engagement.
Ways to work together
Three engagement formats
Most engagements combine all three. We'll design the right mix for your team on the assessment call.
Format 1
Individual team sessions
Private 1:1 sessions with each team member to understand how they operate best, and coach them through what's in their way.
- Communication-style mapping per person
- Confidential space to surface real friction
- Leader debrief with tailored strategies
Format 2
Team workshops & trainings
Interactive group sessions that build a shared language for feedback, conflict, and collaboration across the whole team.
- Conscious-conversation frameworks
- Live practice on real team scenarios
- Virtual or on-site
Format 3
Ongoing leadership advisory
Natalie as a standing resource for you and your leadership team: the outside voice in the room as culture and stakes evolve.
- Recurring leadership coaching
- Culture & communication check-ins
- Support through hires, exits & growth

Your consultant
Meet Natalie Susi
Natalie is a communication consultant, former UC San Diego lecturer on conscious communication, and an exited founder who has built and led teams of her own. For 13+ years she has coached founders, Fortune 500 executives, and leadership teams on the thing that makes or breaks all of them: how people actually talk to each other.
She's been on your side of the table. This isn't HR theory. It's a practitioner's system, built from running a company, teaching communication at the university level, and 13 years inside leadership teams.

Common questions
What leaders ask first
What size teams do you work with? +
Most engagements are with leadership teams and companies from roughly 5 to 50 people: startups, growth-stage companies, and divisions within larger organizations. For bigger organizations, we typically start with the leadership team and expand from there.
Is this in person or virtual? +
Both. Individual sessions and advisory work are usually virtual; workshops and trainings can run virtually or on-site, depending on your team's setup and where the work will land best.
How long does an engagement take? +
The assessment phase typically runs a few weeks, depending on team size. Full engagements usually span three to six months, long enough for new communication habits to become the default under real pressure, not just in a workshop.
How will we know it's working? +
You'll see it where you currently feel the pain: meetings that end with decisions, fewer dropped handoffs, feedback surfacing before it becomes a resignation. We define what success looks like for your team on the assessment call and check against it throughout.
Is this like therapy or an HR program? +
Neither. It's a business engagement focused on how your team communicates and executes. It gets personal (real communication work always does), but the goal is performance: clearer conversations, faster decisions, stronger culture, better retention.
